We would like to tell all new members and any outsider thinking of joining up of our trip to Gallipoli on 19th August 2015 to commemorate the ill fated expedition by the 5th Battalion onto the Turkish peninsula via Anzac Beach. The trip will remember the 5th Battalion on the centenary of their disaster on the slopes of Hill 60 up in the hills above Anzac and Suvla.
There are limited places available and the cost of the eight day mission is €1000, €250 being necessary by 31st January 2015 as a non-returnable deposit and the remaining €750 being needed by 31st May 2015.
We will be staying on the peninsula at a fabulous hotel for 5 nights and in Istanbul for 3 nights where we will be visiting Florence Nightingales hospital at Scutari from the Crimean War where lots of Connaught Rangers were treated.
